Morning Worship and Devotion

CAA begins each morning with worship and a devotional time, as we believe this sets the tone and prepares hearts for the day. Devotions are led by a variety of people including parents, teachers, students and guests.

We offer a variety of after school electives each semester, such as Robotics, Dance, STEAM Lab, Nature, Discipleship, Chess, and more.

Our 2019-2020 Bible Curriculum, Knowing Jesus, is written so that all who engage in the lessons - children, parents, and teachers - will grow in faith as they hear about Christ through the Gospels

Each week will follow specific themes, all with the goal that we would know Jesus more closely and learn to establish our own relationship with Him. Included are weekly Bible memory verses, engaging activities, and games that provide times to wonder and explore what the living Word is saying to us. Families and classes will grow together in the knowledge of Christ and become more comfortable with praying and sharing their faith.

Habitudes Curriculum (Middle School)

City Academy Middle Schoolers will participate in the "Growing Leaders" curriculum developed by Tim Elmore for Habitudes. This curriculum uses image-based learning to help instill important leadership habits in young adults. The instructional process encourages both critical and creative thinking by starting with a dilemma and introducing an image which leads to conversations with real-world application. The courses CAA will use are Christ-centered and have been specifically designed and field-tested with middle school students. Students will learn strategies to be proactive and confident in relationships through a Biblical filter.

Campus Pastor

As Campus Pastor, Jenni Means provides spiritual support to students, parents, and faculty, lending prayer support and counsel to all those in our campus community. Her oversight role in curriculum development and campus activities helps to keep our Christ-centered mission at the heart of all we do. Her heart to connect all students with the heart of the Father is evident in the after-school discipleship classes she leads and in daily morning staff devotionals.
