Alive Hearts

At CAA, we believe the heart is the wellspring of life, and we partner with parents to guide students into understanding who they are in Christ based on what God’s Word says about them, thus equipping them to live out who God has called them to be.

"I love that I can learn from mommy and my teachers all at the same time. And I have the best friends at CAA!" Suri, 2nd grade

Alive Minds

At CAA, we believe learning should be joyful. Our school environment celebrates each child’s unique gifts and talents, cultivates critical and creative thinking, and embraces a growth mindset in which the joy is in the journey. Our teachers are passionate about active learning and use hands-on/minds-on instructional strategies to engage a student’s whole being in the learning process.

Alive Community

At CAA, we believe God is most glorified and life is most fully lived when done in community. As a school family, we seek to know and be known by one another, thus creating an environment of robust relationships, on and off campus, between students, parents, teachers, staff and faculty.

"I love that CAA gives our family the freedom and structure we need to not only educate our kids well, but have a pace of life that helps us be a better family." Tim, Dad

K-8

We believe the primary influencers in a child’s life are parents. We come alongside them and give time back to do their job.

We Believe

We believe in one God
with three expressions

God the Father

We believe in a triune God that is sovereign over all and yet personally invested in all he has created. He is ruler and sustainer of the universe, possessing the authority of heaven and earth in a loving and completely just manner.
Gen. 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Ephesians 4:6; Isaiah 40:21-28; Isaiah 46:8-11

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, born in flesh by a virgin and lived a completely sinless life on earth.  He died on the cross and rose again three days later, thus securing forgiveness for the sins of the world and providing the only path to eternal life in heaven with God the Father.
Luke 1:30-35; Acts 2:22-24; John 3:16-17

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is a permanent presence of the Spirit of God in the heart of a believer.  The Spirit guides, transforms, empowers and activates believers in our everyday lives.
John 16:7-8; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Ephesians 4:30

Salvation through Christ alone

We believe Heaven is accessible to any and all who call on the name of Jesus. Christ’s sacrifice of his life on the cross reconciled every believer to God and rooted our identity in Christ for today and forever.
Ephesians 1:7 ; John 1:12-13; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:8-10

The Bible is God’s Word.

We believe the Bible is the living, breathing Word of God, written that all might know Him more intimately. It is authoritative, accurate, relevant and trustworthy.
2 Pet. 1:20-21; 2 Tim. 3:16-17

Distinct Gifting

We believe that every person is created by God and for God with distinct gifts and abilities. These gifts serve as a springboard toward service to our families, our communities, our city, and the world beyond.
Romans 12:3-8; Galatians 2:20

Community

We believe that active participation in community is an expression of worship to God and is evidence of a transformed life. All people were created for community and therefore, we will come alive, uniquely and fully, within God’s ordained fellowship with other believers.
Matthew 28:18-20; John 15:8; Colossians 1:24-29

Accreditation

CAA is "Accredited with Quality" by the Georgia Accrediting Commission. This is the highest level of accreditation for a non-traditional education center. This classification is granted to schools that involve their faculty and staff in a study of the GAC principles and has provided the Commission with satisfactory documentation that all principles required for Accredited with Quality status have been met.

What Does our
logo mean?

The logo of City Academy of Atlanta was purposely and carefully designed to reflect the identity of our unique school.  We wanted a modern, fresh take on school logos that still gives a nod to traditional values and the historic ideals of great education. We also wanted it to reflect our deeply held conviction that Jesus is supreme.

The core element of the letters CAA represent the schools initials and are set in a modern typeface called Reload Medium.

The core letters are wrapped by laurels which historically represent creativity and spiritual awakening. In addition, they are a symbol of victory and success and are also considered to be an emblem of the resurrection of Christ.

The green color, “Emerald Green”, is specifically chosen to represent our main slogan “Come Alive”.  Green represents life, growth, flourishing and new beginnings.

The gold color, “Honey Gold”, stands for substance, victory, and the achievement of our vision. In addition, it reflects our belief in the holiness, righteousness and divinity of Jesus Christ.

The ivory color, “Pearled Ivory”, reflects firmness and elasticity, a nod to our commitment to our values and our creativity in walking them out.
